Coro Center for Civic Leadership

Coro Center for Civic Leadership

Construction Cost: $500,000
Completion Date: 2003
Gross Area: 10,000 SF
LEED CI Gold

Coro Center for Civic Leadership exemplifies Pittsburgh’s efforts at remediation and revitalization of the land and existing buildings.  Coro’s location takes advantage of the views across the river to downtown Pittsburgh, the infrastructure of the neighboring Southside, its proximity to Station Square and the central business district of Pittsburgh. The offices of Coro use a flexible, open space plan, and the main conference or training room serves as the heart of the Coro space.

The project was chosen for the LEED Commercial Interiors Pilot Program, which is for projects that primarily involve tenant fit out and assumes that the client does not have control over the building core. Coro has been awarded the LEED-CI Gold rating, and is the first building in Pennsylvania to achieve this rating.
