(The) 32nd Annual NAIOP Pittsburgh Awards Banquet (will be) held on May 22, 2025 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. The largest #CREpgh event in Pittsburgh is anticipated to have 1,000 leaders in Pittsburgh’s commercial real estate industry attend this year’s event and enjoy our rooftop pre- and post-reception. At this event, we will honor the strong contributions to the Pittsburgh commercial real estate market.
The eight award winners that will be honored for their work in 2024 include:
- NAIOP’s Best Industrial Renovation Project – RIDC NKAMP RE:Build Manufacturing by RIDC (Designed by R3A Architecture)
The 175,000-square-foot Re:Build Manufacturing project, a partnership between RIDC and WCIDC, is revitalizing New Kensington and bringing skilled manufacturing jobs back to the Pittsburgh region.
- Best new Multifamily Building – The Park by SomeraRoad
The Park at SouthSide Works is a vibrant waterfront community nestled along the Three Rivers Heritage Trail and within Pittsburgh’s premier live, work, play, stay destination. Located on the site of a former steel mill, The Park brings new life into the iconic neighborhood and redefines the area’s relationship with the river.
- Best Built to Suit Industrial Building – Samuel, Son & Co. by Chapman Properties
After 20 years in a Carnegie mill building, Samuel Son & Co. invested in a new 85,000-square-foot facility at Chapman’s Ridge Road Industrial Park near Pittsburgh International Airport. Partnering with Chapman Properties, the facility was designed for maximum efficiency to support Samuel’s growth for the next 20 years.

The Allegheny County Airport Authority is a key economic driver for the region – from air service to real estate development. - Best New Tech Flex Project – The Allegheny Health Departments Public Health Laboratory by The Elmhurst Group
The new Allegheny Health Laboratory is located in Building 1 at Commonwealth Manor in Marshall Township. Within the 45,900 SF of space, nearly 25,000 SF is BSL laboratory space of which 12,000SF is classified as BSL 3. After extensive collaboration with Marshall Township’s Planning Commission the project was approved to move forward with a lab space that will serve our region and state for years to come.
- Best New Development – FNB Financial Center, F.N.B. Corporation & The Buccini Pollin Group
Situated on the former site of the Pittsburgh Civic Arena, FNB Financial Center—F.N.B. Corporation’s (FNB) headquarters—anchors the 28-acre, $1 billion Lower Hill District redevelopment master plan. This $250 million, LEED Gold-certified mixed-use tower, completed in Fall 2024, emerged from a strategic collaboration among F.N.B. Corporation, the Buccini Pollin Group, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and Clay Cove Capital. - Hall of Fame Inductee – Leo Castagnari former Executive Director of NAIOP Pittsburgh
Leo Castagnari was executive director of NAIOP Pittsburgh for 20 years until his retirement in spring 2018. During his tenure NAIOP Pittsburgh experienced substantial growth in size and reputation, with its membership more than doubling. Also during this time, the NAIOP Pittsburgh Chapter has won multiple national industry awards for its Developing Pittsburgh magazine, educational programming and advocacy efforts.
