NAIOP Pittsburgh has turned to a nonprofit development firm with more than 60 years of history in the region as its Developer of the Year for 2022.
That’s the Regional Industrial Development Corporation of Southwestern Pennsylvania, with NAIOP Pittsburgh citing RIDC’s Mill 19 repurposing of an industrial mill shed at Hazelwood Green into a new tech flex office hub as a major reason for its selection among others for a firm ramping up plans at the Carrie Furnace site in the Mon Valley along with new industrial properties in the city neighborhood of Fairywood.
In a year that continued to present development challenges in Pittsburgh and beyond, NAIOP Pittsburgh still found plenty to celebrate in the rest of its awards.
