Going Up

The elevator cab interiors were designed to be both durable and visually engaging, reflecting the company’s identity while accommodating high daily use. The metal wall panels feature a subtle pattern that resembles trucks on a highway, a nod to the client’s core business, bringing personality and context into a functional space. Because these elevators experience heavy traffic and frequent transport of people, large boxes and shipments, materials were carefully selected for resilience without sacrificing style. Light wood panels from the lobbies were incorporated to create continuity and warmth, while lightly patterned metal coverings provide texture and protect surfaces from wear. Modern lighting and updated controls complete the cabs, enhancing usability and creating a polished, contemporary aesthetic that users experience with every ride.

A key component of the project was the modernization of the elevator experience. Elevator lobbies were refreshed with new architectural cladding, while elevator cabs were renovated with updated finishes, controls, and call stations. These improvements enhanced accessibility, functionality, and aesthetics while reinforcing the overall wayfinding strategy.

Complete Campus Wayfinding

Our team developed a comprehensive environmental graphics and wayfinding program to enhance navigation and strengthen the identity of a corporate headquarters. The scope included new exterior monument and pillar signage, vehicular directional signage, parking lot identification, and a complete modernization of the elevator infrastructure at each building tower.

The headquarters is organized around multiple interconnected towers and circulation paths, creating a complex environment that can be difficult for both visitors and employees to navigate. Our design established a clear hierarchy of information that seamlessly guides users from site arrival to their final destination. Consistent graphic standards, strategic sign placement, and intuitive directional cues create a cohesive navigation experience across the campus.

A color-based wayfinding strategy serves as the primary organizational element, assigning each tower a distinct identity that extends throughout the building. Integrated into elevator lobbies, vertical circulation, and directional signage, these architectural color cues reinforce spatial awareness, improve orientation, and enable users to intuitively distinguish between building wings. The result is a legible, cohesive environment that reduces cognitive load, enhances the user experience, and supports efficient movement throughout the headquarters.

The result is a cohesive signage and wayfinding system that improves circulation, creates a more welcoming visitor experience, and reinforces the headquarters’ identity through thoughtful design and intuitive navigation.
