The confidential diagnostic client asked R3A to design phase 1 of the 2-phase project in Pittsburgh, incorporating their process of clinical services and scanning that they currently use in their Phoenix facility. The overall design looks at providing a client-facing space with a lobby, a reception space, a conference room, and phone rooms for use by visitors and staff. Within the employee space, we provided them with a break and lactation room to support their staff, clinical service open office area, and laydown area for sample delivery and data entry. We worked with the client to provide a wet lab space with stainers, freezers, adjustable benches, various scanning and support spaces between the wet lab, and clinical services area that helps facilitate their workflow.
