The new pre-engineered shop, truck parking + storage facility, which is located on a heavily traveled corridor into the city of Pittsburgh, incorporates the idea of “Building as Billboard” by utilizing an illuminated mesh screen sun-shade to display programmable L.E.D. dynamic lighting. The program included: administrative, training, maintenance, workshop and storage spaces. Special attention was paid to issues of fire separation, operational floors and efficient energy performance.
