Muti-Unit Senior Housing

This unique project includes the construction of a new, three-story, eight unit apartment for senior citizens with a senior center on the first floor, located along Homestead’s historic East 8th Avenue commercial district.
The project also required an existing facade with an 8 ft. structural bay behind, to be preserved and renovated in order to further the historic district’s preservation program. Renaissance 3 Architects worked closely with the Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation as well as the State Historic Preservation office to achieve the owner’s preservation goals.
